Seamark has expanded its range of food product considerably over the past two years and continues to add new products to our existing range giving the customer more choice. Our commitment to quality is at the heart of everything we do.
GROWING THE BUSINESS
Founded in 1976. Shortly after Iqbal, Kamal and Bilal joined the business the brothers began to look at ways to grow, creating a company importing and distributing frozen foods. In 1984, the company (Iqbal Brothers), began importing container loads and the operation began to take off. Growth continued apace, and in 1991, a new state-of-the-art, purpose-built factory with a fully automated cold store was created.

IMPORTER AND EXPORTER
It was not long before Seamark began to see the potential in foreign markets, using its varied and reliable foreign sources. By 1996, Seamark’s exports accounted for more than 84% of sales and export sales have consistently remained above 69% ever since.

Expansion continued with a third UK factory and the development of new product ranges, including poultry and a new breading line. In 2000, Seamark opened a fully-fledged processing plant at the Bangladesh port of Chittagong. IBCO Food Industries opened in 2006 due to the increasing demand for vegetables, fruits, finger foods and seafood.
